What does Game Pick Review cover?+
Pixel-art and retro-style games available on Steam for PC. Every price, Steam Deck rating and performance note refers to the Steam version.
How are scores calculated?+
Each game gets five scores out of 10: gameplay (30%), feel & controls (20%), pixels & sound (20%), replay (15%) and value (15%). The final score is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal.
What does a 'pick' badge mean?+
Must pick is 9.0 and above, Great pick 8.0 and above, Good pick 7.0 and above, Niche pick below that. It is a plain-language summary of the score.
How does the picker work?+
You answer five questions. The picker scores every game against your answers using its mood, session length, multiplayer modes, difficulty and price, and shows the best three matches with reasons. Nothing is stored.
Are prices up to date?+
We list the US Steam list price at the last update, without discounts. Always check the Steam page before buying.
Do developers pay for reviews?+
No. We do not sell scores, picks or placement in lists.
Is this a gambling site?+
No. Game Pick Review is an editorial site about video games. We are not affiliated with casinos, betting or gambling operators.
