Into the Breach: five habits that save more timelines
Small rules that turn losing runs into wins, without spoilers.

1Read the whole board before moving
Look at every enemy attack and every incoming spawn before you touch a mech. Most mistakes come from solving the first threat and creating a new one.
2Block the spawns
Standing on a glowing spawn tile stops the new enemy from appearing, at the cost of one damage to the unit blocking it. Use a mech that can afford the hit, or push an enemy onto the tile instead.
3Pushing beats killing
Moving an enemy so its attack hits nothing, or hits another enemy, is often better than dealing damage. Kill when it is convenient, not by default.
4Protect the grid, not your pride
Your power grid is your life bar. Losing a mech for a turn is fine; losing grid power repeatedly is how runs end.
5Use the reset turn
Once per battle you can reset a turn. Save it for a surprising chain reaction rather than a small mistake.
