Enter the Gungeon: how to survive your first runs

1The roll is your shield

You are invincible for most of the dodge roll. Roll through bullets, not away from them.

2Use blanks

Blanks clear every bullet on screen. You get two per floor; using them is better than losing a heart. They also reveal secret rooms when used near cracked walls.

3Flip tables

Tables are cover. Flip them in boss fights to block patterns.

4Use your guns

Many players save their best weapons and die with full ammo. Use them on tough rooms and bosses.

5Shortcuts

Helping certain characters in the Gungeon unlocks shortcuts in the Breach, making later floors reachable faster.
